Ghost Ranch, A Peaceful Place

I must do this quickly as batteries are low(the computer, Not mine!)  but I had to share with you this photo of one of beautiful cliffs caught is last light yesterday.  Everytime I see them like this I think I have never seen theme so spectacular before.  They are just one of the reflections of the spirit of peace and tranquility that those who are able to be part of annual gathering of Quaker Friends are fortunate to experience.  I am having a good week. Feeling well, eating better than I should , resting more than I normally do and participating in a lot of thoughtful, meaningful gatherings dealing with many important aspects of rightful living in this day and time. .  I always have gratitude to be here and surrounded by the people and the spirit of peace.  Love and Hugs to all. . .   Sandy

I really lose this Sandy. it reminds me so much of the 30 years I lived in Utah and some of the places we visited a lot there. How I miss the west and the Rockies.
There us a Quaker meeting place or two in the surrounding towns here and have often wanted to go just to visit, but not sure how it would be accepted.
This is not as friendly of a climate as you have there.
Is Tom one of Fundamentalist group or the Universalists?
Glad to hear you are enjoying life so much.
Hugs,
Cami

You can't view a scene like that and not believe there is a higher power. So glad you seem so much at peace and settled. Keep in touch!!

Cami, I know that you would be welcomed at any Quaker meeting.Quakers believe that there is that of God in everyone and are not judgemental of anyone who wants to attend. We attend an unprogramed Quaker meeting that is mostly silent worship. There are others Quaker meetings that are programmed which are more much more like traditional church services. If it is called a Friends Church they are called programmed and have a minister and if it is called a Friends Meeting it is unprogrammed and is silent worship. You are such a spiritual person, I think you would enjoy!
Hugs and Love,Sandy

Cathy,
I have said the same thing so many times when we are on a photo safari. Mostly when in the mountains of Colorado. Stand among the aspen, wild flowers, and snow capped mountains and you'll believe!

Cami,
I started attending Quaker meetings in Montana, in a living room with a dog snoring in the corner. When I moved East, I wanted to continue, but my Friends cautioned me that eastern Friends are a little more conservative than western Quakers. So, before I made my first visit to Hopewell Friends Meeting, a 200-year-old meeting north of Winchester, Va., I made sure I had on my sport coat and my bolo tie ... about as dressed up for meeting as I can get. I drove in, parked, got out of the car ... and was greeted by two bearded, bare-foot guys running across the lawn to meet me! So much for stuffy eastern Friends. And isn't that picture Sandy caught phenomenal?

Yes it certainly is Tom. It reminds me of some of the canyons in Utah where I lived for 30 years.
I will try to get to Wabash next Sunday to check out their meeting.
I am in Eckankar, but love to explore and I like that they accept different folks with different strokes.
We are all wired differently, so it is nice to find a group that isn't judgmental to visit.
You have impressed me with your intelligence and lack of judgment, so I thought these People must be great to be around.
I'll let you know how it goes.
I was worried about the fact that I am not christian. The Friend's Church in Amboy is more Christian oriented so I read in my research and some of their by lines didn't appeal to me because it seemed a bit narrow minded, so I checked out the one in Wabash which is a meeting place and their philosophy seemed more in line with your thinking.
Thanks for the input.
Hugs,
Cami
